2004-10-26 [cuntstitches]: I believe a little clearing up is neccessary. I have not read all the comments dealing with this little spat, so if I have missed anything, please let me know. This wiki is not only for people who don't like fake goths, but for those with a sense of humor. If you'd care to take notice, that's what the introduction is. It's intended to make people laugh while getting the general point across. No, just because you listen to Manson does not mean you are a fake goth, but when you listen to only Manson, shop at Hot Topic, and cut yourself because all these things make you "uber goffix", you're nothing more than a little spookykid.
2004-10-26 [Lost in Illusions]: I cut... but I do it because of the meaningless of life and the worthlessness of truly existing. I listen to Manson, not because I think he's "ultra-cool" but because I respect his lyrics and his views on the world. I shop at Hot Topic.. not because it's all black and totally "goffick" but because I enjoy the tight fitting jeans and dark, intriguing prints.

LOL @.@ You are right about the stuff at hot topic, I had the displeasure of going to one for the first time recently. I might buy one or two t-shirts but all that other crap was just plain rediculous! I kind of wanted an interesting spiderman t-shirt. What I really want, and they'll never have them there, is some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles T-shirts! ^_^ that and Ghost Busters. Those where some of my favorite shows growing up. ^_^
2004-10-26 [Lost in Illusions]: I enjoy pain, but Im usually in emotional pain before I am able to enjoy such... it's like feeling the physical pain, to me, is more emotionally sound than the emotional pain that Im feeling at the moment.
2004-10-26 [HiddenFire]: Pain and pleasure are the two sensations that affirm life. Self mutilation and some overly promiscuous sexual habits are attributed the person simply wanting to know they are still alive. Usually due to depression. Sometimes though, sex can be a celibration of life, such as after a traumatic experience... glad to be alive sex. Or you feel dead inside so you basically do anything you can to prove to yourself that you are, in fact, still alive.
2004-10-26 [Lost in Illusions]: I took some little quiz called "why do you cut?" and it told me the same thing... "You cut to know youre still alive, that you can still feel emotion. You want to know what it's like to hurt, and at the same time, know that youre still here." blah blah blah... I dont believe it, but I'll buy it.
2004-10-27 [Grey Eyes]: This is completely off subject, but earlier someone had said the prices were too high at Hot Topic, and I just want to state why...because I feel like doing that...it'd be because almost all of there clothes are imported from very small businesses that must sell high to actually make money. Yeah. Sorry...I felt like saying something.
2004-10-27 [Leara]: To bad brands like Lip Service make nice looking clothes, sell them for high prices when their destined to fall apart from shitty manufacturing. Yeah...thats definitly worth the money...
